Sons of Chaos was an American death metal band from the Bay area in California. The band existed from 1993 to 2003 when the band took an extended break while some of the members did side projects and took some time off. Tragically, Paul Suchoski passed away and the band officially disbanded.

Sons of Chaos formed in 1993 in Vacaville, California by Mike Lundeen (Drums) and Chris Spicer (vocals). The earliest official line-up in the band also included Jerry Downard on Guitar and Anthony Williams on Bass guitar. Chris left the band in less than a year and was replaced by James Secrist. Jerry also left the band around the same time and Nathan Breeding joined as the new guitarist. James left the band in 1994 and Anthony took over the vocal responsibilities.

In 1995 the band released their first demo entitled: Book of Lies and began playing on a regional level. In 1996 Anthony left the band and was replaced by Paul Suchoski on Bass Guitar and lead vocals. In 1998 the band entered the studio with Juan Urteaga at Trident Studios in Pacheco, California, and recorded the band's second demo entitled: Prophecies for the Flesh. That release gained them some much-needed attention and the band started playing bigger shows with bands like Incantation, Malevolent Creation, Vile, and others. The band started gaining speed in the Bay Area Death Metal scene.

In 1999 Sons of Chaos returned to Trident Studios and recorded the band's first full-length record entitled: Dawn of the Apocalypse. While the band was recording this record, Nathan Breeding left the band. Greg Navarro who was the band's guitar tech officially joined the band as lead guitarist. The band began a series of shows with Disgorge one day later. The album was released under the record label Brutal Force Records and gained a lot of national and international attention. The band began touring nationally in the United States sharing the stage with the likes of Deeds of Flesh, Angel Corpse, and Krisiun.

In 2001 just after finishing the touring cycle for Dawn of the Apocalypse, the band signed a record deal with East coast label Bloodsoaked Records. They entered Trident Studios. This time with Vile guitarist Colin Davis recording, producing, and mastering the album. Bloodsoaked Records released the 2nd studio full-length album entitled: Redwork on February 10th, 2002. The band was already out touring for the record playing with Beheaded and Origin on a series of U.S. dates. Following this tour is when the band took a break. Paul focused on his side project World of Lies. In 2006 Paul Passed away and the band went on an indefinite hiatus.
